Ms. Tan Ai Chin was appointed as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of BOS Wealth Management Malaysia Berhad on 29 November 2019. An experienced and progressive leader, she currently serves as Managing Director, Senior Banker of Client Coverage, and Head of Investment Banking at OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Berhad. She sits on the Boards of OCBC Advisers (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, OCBC Capital (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd and is a member of the Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Sub-Committee of the Association of Banks in Malaysia (ABM).
With more than 30 years of experience across a broad spectrum of investment banking and corporate banking activities, Ms. Tan Ai Chin oversees client coverage for the top-tier GLCs/Conglomerates and spearheads the team that delivers a comprehensive suite of services encompassing loan syndication, capital market, project & structured finance, financial and Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) advisory services, Islamic and Sustainable finance with the focus towards developing holistic, creative and value accretive investment banking solutions.
Under her leadership, OCBC Malaysia has led advised and arranged many landmark and award-winning transactions for Government‑Linked Companies (GLCs) and conglomerates, delivering comprehensive solutions in loan syndications, bonds, and M&A advisory. Her team has been at the forefront of structuring landmark financing for Malaysia’s rapidly expanding digital infrastructure and renewable energy sectors and pioneered innovative Islamic and sustainable financing solutions to support sectors.
Ms. Tan Ai Chin is committed to advancing ESG best practices among corporates and GLCs. She has been a speaker on leadership and personal development topics and panelist at forums by Bank Negara Malaysia, Securities Commission Malaysia, World Bank and other reputable institutions. Her contributions to developing sustainable finance have earned OCBC Malaysia multiple accolades, including Malaysia International Green Financing Bank of the Year by ABF Wholesale Banking Awards, Sustainable Energy Financing Awards by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, ESG Business Awards and other international recognitions for green financing initiatives.
She holds a Bachelor of Economics (First Class Honours) from the University of Malaya.
